Yes. We thought about it.Ā Many times.
Because running a project like KUMI is not easy.Ā And even though things might look beautiful from the outside, behind the scenes⦠itās been tough.
There were moments that hurt.
Months when we couldnāt cover all our costs.
Collaborations that looked promising but led nowhere.
Store partnerships that were confirmed and then cancelled last minute.
And every setback took its toll ā not just on the brand, but on us.
Because KUMI isn't a company with departments and budgets.Ā Itās just the two of us: Alexandra and Sergio.Ā And this project? We've poured our hearts into it.
We came close to saying, āThatās it. We canāt keep going.ā
But one day, we sat down and asked ourselves the question that changed everything:
What do we really want?
The answer was clear.
We want to reach more people.
We want to walk beside you through meaningful moments in life.
We want more people to experience what KUMI truly is.
And to make that possible, we needed to make a bold move: We lowered our prices.
We shared this openly, in a raw and honest video ā no scripts, just us:
It wasnāt an easy decision.
Not because weāre cutting corners (weāre not).
Our sneakers are still made in Spain, in a small family-owned factory.
Still vegan. Still made with certified recycled materials.
Still designed to last, and crafted with intention.
But lowering prices means taking on more risk.
It means making less⦠and hoping itās worth it.
And then something beautiful happened: you showed up.
We received message after message of encouragement, kindness, support:

You reminded us why we started this.
And why weāre still here.
So yes ā we lowered our prices.
But we didnāt lower our standards.
Or our values.
Or the love and care we put into every pair.
KUMI is still the same brand.
Still ethical, sustainable, vegan.
Still handmade in Spain.
Still a project with soul.
And if, like us, you believe the world still needs honest brands with purpose ā
thank you for being here.
Thank you for not letting us give up.
Thank you for walking with us.
Because in the end, being an outstander is exactly this:
not giving up, and chasing your dreams.
