Circular Sustainable Fashion Week in Madrid:
Imagine a week filled with all things sustainable fashion - that's exactly where we found ourselves in April. Madrid played host to the incredible Circular Sustainable Fashion Week (CSFW), and we simply couldn't pass up the opportunity to be a part of it. Talk about a match made in heaven for us, right?
Roundtables and Conferences:
Alexandra had the honor of participating in an enlightening conference during the CSFW. Titled "Cadena de Valor y RAP," it explored the intersection of fashion, communication, and sustainability. The event was held at the prestigious ESCP Business School in María de Molina, and let us tell you, it was a thought-provoking experience. Sharing the stage with industry leaders and experts from McKinsey & Company, PEFC España, T_NEUTRAL, IED Istituto Europeo di Design, and Radio Nacional Española was truly humbling.
EcoDiseño Showcase and Runway:
Picture this - an idyllic setting in the ESCP Business School, filled with upcycling brands promoting sustainable fashion. That's where KUMI Sneakers rocked the runway at the pasarela EcoDiseño, alongside other incredible brands. It was a moment of pride for us as we had the exclusive opportunity to unveil our dazzling new collection, the Hygge/22 Line. Oh, and we can't forget to give a special shout-out to our collaboration with Bustin Jeans. Thank you for being a part of our journey!
Pasarela 17, a Grand Finale:
The CSFW Madrid event concluded with a bang, thanks to the mesmerizing Pasarela 17. The runway witnessed an extraordinary fusion of various sustainable and circular brands, resulting in unique and breathtaking outfits. Being a part of this one-of-a-kind experience was truly unforgettable.
Honored with the Third Prize:
To top it all off, we received some incredible news! PEFC España recognized KUMI Sneakers as one of the most sustainable brands of the CSFW edition. We were honored to win the third prize out of 24 exceptional brands. The award takes into consideration various factors such as material origins, textile certifications, proximity in manufacturing and production, circularity and upcycling of materials, functionality and timeless designs, and inclusivity. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to PEFC España for recognizing our commitment to sustainability.
"Día Kumi en The Circular Project" - A Celebration:
As a grand finale to this spectacular week, we hosted the event "Día Kumi" at The Circular Project, a concept store in Madrid. It was an exclusive opportunity for sneaker enthusiasts to check out our new collection and even be the first to snag a pair. We're forever grateful to those who attended and supported us during this exciting event.
